    Harbeth C7ES-3 XD

That's fairly consistent with optimal positioning guidlines. Most recommend having the speakers and the listener positioned in an close to an equilateral triangle, with the vertex of the triangle from the speakers to the listener converging slightly behind the listener's head. In my case, I have...

    Harbeth C7ES-3 XD

Congrats on getting the C7s set up and working. I've owned a pair of limited edition 40th Anniversary 30.2s in Silver Eucalyptus for about six years now, so I'm well familiar with the classic Harbeth audio attributes you're referring to. My Harbeth 40th Anniversary Limited Editions 30.2s are...

What type of speaker still sounds good at low listening levels?

Q: What type of speaker still sounds good at low listening levels? Quad or Martin-Logan electrostatics. For dynamic driver speakers, my Buchardt S400IIs are excellent as well, one of the best dynamic speakers I've ever heard and the best I've ever owned.

One of my PCR papers hits over 9K references

Yes, agreed. The development of PCR for DNA cloning, DNA sequencing, genetic analysis, molecular diagnostics and DNA forensics is very much analogous to the development of the transistor for electronics.

One of my PCR papers hits over 9K references

Just got a notification from Research Gate from someone requesting a copy one of my published scientific papers on PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction). When I checked in, I found that to date, this paper has been cited (referenced) in scientific publications by other authors…9,322 times. :cool...

    Harbeth P3ESR XD

Yes, they are specifically designed and engineered to be used Left and Right. They are also tested and measured this way during final QC at Harbeth. It's not just a simple label. Put the Left speaker on the L channel speaker cable and the Right speaker on the R channel speaker cable.

    Harbeth P3ESR XD

That is correct. They are voiced with the grilles on.

    Harbeth P3ESR XD

My understanding is...Yes, they are different than other companies in this regard. I have the 30.2 40th Anniversary Harbeths (which, to my understanding, was a higher-spec 30.2 than the XD version) and I have always listened to them with the speaker grilles on as, because just as you have...

    Lumin supports Qobuz Connect

Peter, when you say "Lumin X1 P-series U-series T3X T3 T2 D3 support Qobuz Connect in Firmware 19", are you referring to Firmware 19 for the Lumin app (e.g. the app on my iPhone?) I'm using a Lumin P-1, and the Lumin app on my iPhone shows I am running Firmware version 18.1, released on...

    Lumin U2 Mini vs U1

Hi Dave, If you're open to a suggestion, I'd go to the Lumin website and compare the specs for both. As for sound quality, my thought is that given that the room acoustics are a big factor with respect to how a system sounds, IMHO, the only way to unequivocally determine would one would sound...

    Modestly priced speaker cables

If I were looking at what would be classified as an entry level speaker cable, I'd be looking at the speaker cables from GR-Research. Danny really knows what he's doing when it come to this domain. Link here: https://gr-research.com/product/24-strand-diy-audiophile-speaker-cable/

    Modestly priced speaker cables

If you can budget about $1K for speaker cables, I'd recommend you consider getting a pair of the new Shunyata Research Gamma speaker cables (SPs) for $998 for a 2.5 M pair. I know it's about 20% more than your budget, but I have these speaker cables in for review of the full Gamma line of cables...
