They are new speakers under the old Genesis name. I loved Genesis back in the 70's. I was saving for a pair of Genesis Model 2's for my first system. I ended up with a pair of Altec Lansing Model 3's as they were cheaper. I did not have enough money after buying a JVC TT and Pioneer Receiver.
Mine is from Mark Levinson. Daniel Hertz is a new company started my Mark Levinson himself. But I am sure you know that. Beautiful gear. I would love to hear.

That's what I did. I went from separates to a Levinson integrated amp with a great built in dac and supposedly a great phono preamp although I use my Gold Note for that.
Denafrips now has service in the U.S.
I had a pair of PSB Synchrony Ones and a cap in the xover blew. The speakers were about 12 year discontinued and PSB had no parts. I would never buy one of their products again. They did not have any info about the value the cap was either.
I love Pass...
He has more than that. The post numbers are off since the site was changed. I know Feanor a long time from another forum. He had Good gear, a Pass 150.5 Int and Magnepan 1.6's. He is a good guy.
No I am not. There is plenty of gear in the thousands that I heard and I thought, who would buy this stuff. The Marantz Model 30 being one of them. Hearing it compared directly to the KI Ruby Integrated it sounded veiled or muddy and the dealer thought so too. My son and I heard it within 20...
Absolutely. That is the issue. I occasionally go on Reddit when I am bored and the crap that people spout about the ChiFi gear, $200 TT's and $50 phono preamps is just ridiculous. And people asking for help to buy good system believe this crap. I was telling a guy about my phono preamp...
I certainly agree with you but, when I say it sounded bad, it did. It was rough sounding, unrefined and almost veiled. The sound stage was not that big. And I have 2 of them. Like I said it sounds decent when paired with a 2ch Marantz recevier from the early 2000's with Monitor Audio Silver...
I bought a Topping E50 dac for a bedroom system and a TV. It sounds decent for that but when placed in my sons and my reference systems it was greatly exposed as junk. I bought it based on the great review ASR gave it. Those guys still praise it. They would not know good sound if it hit them...
Agree. If you look at reviews on these budget ChiFi gear on amazon, a lot die within the first 6 to 12 months. These things are so compact and can put out high power but the caps are so small and are asked to do too much and they do not last long. Thats what my EE friend says who repairs...
I am a physician and I can flat out tell you that healthcare is a disaster, not just government controlled. And it is going to get worse. I have been practicing for 40 years and I am going to retire the end of the month after working 40 years in emergency medicine. Corporations have bought up...
I was on Reddit early today and got into a conversation about phono preamps with a guy that has a higher end TT and a Hana ML cartridge. He is using a Schiit Skoll F phono preamp. I told him that I use a Gold Note PH-10 and a Darlington Labs MP8B. He ridiculously stated that phono preamps...
What do you not like about it?
Its internal dac is just adequate, but when connected to a good dac it sounds good. I actually stream from a custom audio computer/server that I built and use a Jcat femto card powered by a LPS. It sounds great. I would put it up against most streamers. I...
Just curious, what do you not like about the WiiM Ultra? I bought one for my daughter and love it. It sounds better run through an external dac for sure. Its software is fabulous.
This is why I have down sized my system as I approach age 68. I sold my 105 pound Pass amp and I am selling a 50 pound BAT preamp. Bought a 70 pound integrated amp. But stupid me, I bought a pair of stand mount speakers that weigh 66 pounds each, lol.
