    Any Marantz PM-10 users?

Bryan, I really like the sound of the Ruby. I like a warmer more romantic, lush sounding system. The issue with the Ruby and PM10 is that there is no way to hook up a sub. These are both differential amps. So I will only buy one if the speakers I buy don't need a sub. Otherwise I will buy...

    Any Marantz PM-10 users?

Hi, I will be downsizing my system within the next few months to 1 year. I am considering moving on from my Pass X250 and BAT preamp. I have been looking at used Marantz PM-10 integrated and have some questions about the sound and hooking up a sub. I have not heard this amp but I did hear...

Is Class A still the king of tone?

That's great to hear about the new Luxman sound because the integrated amp we heard was not emotionally engaging and seemed sterile powering a pair of Wilson speakers. I may have to look at them again when I down size which is going to happen sooner than later.

Is Class A still the king of tone?

2 or 3 years ago we brought my sons Cary SI300.2d 450wpc Integrated to Audio Perfection in Minneapolis and compared it to a $10k Luxman integrated. The Cary at that time sold for $6K. While the Luxman had a hint more detail and air, the Cary had a more totally rich and dynamic sound. The...

    Tariff implications.........

Mr. President was caught bragging on how he made his billionaire friends millions if not billions of dollars This is second hand info. Although I would not doubt it.

    Tariff implications.........

Its hard not to panic when you are planning on retiring in 2 years and I have lost over $700,000 since the Tariffs were announced. I am sure people have lost a lot more than me. I am sure it will come back but the answer is when?

    Tariff implications.........

I don't know where you buy your jeans but my Levi's and Lee's cost $50 to $70 unless I can catch them on sale.

    Tariff implications.........

I agree that U.S. audio companies are probably going to benefit. Pass Labs may feel the pain as they do a lot of overseas sales. But maybe not since many of the people that buy their gear can absorb the extra cost.

    Any experience with PSB?

You may have liked their previous Tower the T3 that I sold to a friend. They had a flat frequency response and while they had great bass and detail, I found them boring. They were not a good match for the Pass X250 amp and my dac. Stereophile and TAS gave them glowing reviews comparing them...

    Any experience with PSB?

PSB makes great speakers. Their Synchony Ones were a stereophile class A+ for many years. I still have a pair. I also bought their replacement model for the Synchony ones and they were well made a had a beautiful finish but they were not a good match for the Pass amp and my Luxman Dac. Too...

Great review. I am glad to see Teac making good gear again. This reviewer makes this gear seem like greatest thing since the wheel.

    Buchardt S400II speakers In-Bound

Thanks. I am in no hurry to upgrade or should I say down grade. I will wait for a review. I am planning a full down grade and revamp of my system as I approach retirement. My plans are to keep the vinyl system and maybe upgrade it with a new tone arm. I want an Ayon Scorpio III Integrated...

    Buchardt S400II speakers In-Bound

Puma, have you had a chance to listen to the Buchardt E50 bookshelf speakers? I watched a video comparing them to the S400 MKII and it appears that the E50's are the better speaker according to the reviewer. They are in my budget of 5K for a pair of bookshelf speakers in a couple of years.

    Project phono preamps?

I have had the Gold Note in my system for about 2 to 3 weeks now. It is paired with my new Pro-Ject Classic Evo TT. The TT came with a Sumiko Moonstone budget cartridge and I swapped in my Nagaoka MP-200 which is a much better cartridge. My initial impressions of the GN is good. It has a...
