Ok. Interesting. Thx. I do think I recall seeing reports of US based N-01XD owners getting the upgrade done, but can’t recall for sure. Doesn’t seem likely without announcement from Esoteric Japan.

In the US, they are offering the upgrade on the N-01XD. See Mike’s first post above. So, not necessarily limited to Grandioso.

I think they have at least slightly different use cases. F-01 is Class A and 30 watts per channel into 8 ohms (doubles into 4 ohms). F-02 is 120 watts per channel into 8 ohms (doubles into 4 ohms) and I think it is a Class A/B design (although Esoteric doesn’t seem to state that explicitly)...

The Esoteric website describes the key differences between the regular and SE models as an upgraded internal discrete clock and better analog output from the dac.

Why would they update the N-01XD (as has been announced) but not the K-01XD? I might get it if they stopped the udpates at the Grandioso line, but they haven’t and are offering an udpate to a product that is at the same -01XD level in the lineup and presumably has essentially the same clock and...
