Lampizator Pacific

Re: Lampizator Pacific arrives at Suncoast Audio

My long contemplation over which DAC to choose has finally ended. Last Saturday evening I was able to audition the Pacific and do some comparisons at Suncoast Audio.
Ultimately the exquisite sound of this beast was the tipping point and I ordered the Pacific.
Now the 6-8 week wait begins!

Re: Lampizator Pacific arrives at Suncoast Audio

You’ve made a phenomenal choice! But you already know that :congrats:

Cheers,
G

Yes...Pac is truly superb....

Congratulations Buddy. Waiting for new gear is very trying.

With all of the fine DAC's Mike carries, choosing one could have been a chore.

Thank you Jim ..... Yes I have agonized over the decision for a while now. Mike was very kind to loan me a DAC for the last 6 months, so I am happy to have moved forward.
Ultimately the decision came down to what I felt would sound the best best in my system.

Re: Lampizator Pacific arrives at Suncoast Audio

That's my choices as well. The unit I had was an amazing upgrade too. It killed my msb and my GG2 as well. A clear winner in event way. All tubes are next level with the new tube heater circuit. What is your current source being used ?

Re: Lampizator Pacific arrives at Suncoast Audio

Congrats Buddy! A beautiful and terrific sounding DAC. I listened to it briefly at Suncoast this past Monday.

Wow Buddy...fantastic! You’re on a roll. Maybe I should just follow suit since you’ve got pretty much what Mike says I’m destined for.

Thank you Rance and that is too funny!
I hope the waiting period goes by quickly as I am anxious to get the Pacific.
For many months the Golden Atlantic sounded wonderful, so this should be epic.

Re: Lampizator Pacific arrives at Suncoast Audio

Congrats! Lots of folks pulling down some awesome DACs lately.

Re: Lampizator Pacific arrives at Suncoast Audio

Thank you!
Color is the black two tone, Kron Limited 300b tubes and SE.

Nice! I guess it will be like this, no?

I think more like this, but there seem to be running changes, so I am not really certain.
I really would like it to be all silver, but that is not an option. Will probably come available just about when mine is delivered! :)

Hi Mike,

How’s she breaking in?

Best,

Buddy, that color scheme looks good.

Many here including myself know that feeling! ;-)

Congrats on a such a great dac!

I’ve been enjoying mine for the past 5 months or so and to my ears it just does everything right. Essentially it’s a magic box of sorts for it strikes that perfect balance of fine detail, transparency and accurate sound while capturing the pleasing, soul invoking, analogue-like presentation we all long to hear, feel and experience.

Wonderful news Andy.

Do you use USB or Ethernet input?
