Vey nice Mike, I really like the DB9-S

Would be nice if you could make a video with some nice gear of yours, preferably Boulder 1110 and 1160 [emoji3].

Congrats!

Wow. Awesome. There’re beautiful. How do they sound as compared to let’s say - Magico M3s?

in 2001 i was seeking a more coherent, musical speaker as an alternative to my Wilson WP6.0's. at that point i had never heard or seen any Kharma speaker. but.......i ended up ordering Kharma Exquisite Reference 1D's in March of 2001, then received them in November of 2001. i loved those speakers and they were everything and much more than i ever imagined when i ordered them. how they presented a natural and coherent musical viewpoint established my own sonic compass that i still mostly use today. i met Charles von Oostrom a few times and found him gracious and a genius; every product he designed had that musical rightness. and the finish quality was artful and jewel like.

congrats on adding the Kharma line-up. they deliver the music.

Congrats Mike on picking up the Kharma line. I listened to Kharma at Axpona and was extremely impressed. The DB9-S are beautiful speakers and very reasonably priced. Could you comment on the tweeter? Is that a waveguide around it? What material is the tweeter made out of?

Thanks,
Ken

Mike,

Wow! I did not see this coming. Congrats on picking up this brand! Beautiful speakers with impeccable finish and authoritative room filling sound. I hope you do really well with them.

Ken, it’s a Beryllium tweeter, like e.g. Magicos.

Congrats Mike! The Kharmas look great. I’ve heard them at shows and was always impressed.

A nice addition to your portfolio of speakers!

I wonder?
I can’t claim that the Kharma is a tremendous value for the performance offered -- you can get great sound for less money elsewhere. In short, the Elegance dB9-S is not cheap. But its special qualities, sonic and otherwise, appeal to me. The dB9-S ticks off a lot of boxes -- enough that a pair of them might be your ideal ticket to the dance.
