Hi from BC
Getting back into the hobby late in life. Like vintage gear and the old music of my youth lol. Hope to get some decent speakers as my first foray into my return to the hobby.

Re: Hi from BC
Actually one of my concerns is whether it is money wasted buying a relatively new speaker such as the legacy focus se. I would be using accuphase or luxman to drive them. Probably bi amping if luxman.

Re: Hi from BC
I've previously owned a pair of Focus (non SE).
They play really big and IMO would be great for the older music as they are not bright sounding.
I did find that they like a reasonable amount of power to come alive. Say 100 watts or more.
Welcome back.My System:

Joule Electra LA150 Signature Plus
Pass XA30.5
Line Magnetic 845ia

Two dedicated 20 Amp circuits. Shunyata Hydra. EP2050
DIY bass traps and custom curved diffusors.

Re: Hi from BC
Hello & welcome.
You would not be disappointed with the Focus se. I've not heard them with the amps you mentioned. My friend had a pair for years before upgrading to the V's, he used Coda amps. The Focus are very capable speakers. There should be a few Legacy threads here if you care to search for them.Aurender ACS10 w/Audioquest Diamond USB,
