    Iso Acoustic Footers

Who is using the GAIA footers under their speakers?

I had a speaker demo the other day but not a with and without listen. The salesman said they were one of the most effective tweak he ever heard.

I have watched some vids and read reviews and all positive.

At the bottom of this page linked is a RMAF Demo you can clearly hear the differences with vs without.

I've only heard very good things about them. Also, John Darko commented in a recent podcast that he was rather shocked at the improvement they made under the stands for a pair of standmount speakers he was reviewing.

Another product that works very well if you don't move your speakers, are the EVPs from Norm Varney at A/V Roomservice. I have a friend with a custom listening room in his room that I recommend them to. He said, "I have a slab floor, why would I need these?" I replied, "What makes you think a concrete slab floor doesn't resonate or ring? Everything has a resonant frequency. Just as the people walking on Market Street in SF in 1906."

So...he put them under his ML 13As and called and told me they made a major improvement in sound quality.

Gaia I under my VSA’s and Orea’s under most of my components. Very effective and definitely punch way over their price.

Thanks for the feedback. I am getting the G3s with a pair of Fyne 502SPs once I finalize an order.

    Re: Iso Acoustic Footers

I tried the Gaia I under my Magico V3's at the time, I liked the original spikes better, I lost speed and definition in the low frequencies with the footers, and also did not like the "soft" feeling when touching the speakers. In other demo's with different speakers I did hear improvements.

I have sold the Gaia's, the new owner is very happy with them (also V3's)

If you can try them before buying would be best in my opinion.

I own Gaia and Titan. I noticed an immediate difference. I found it opened the sound stage. I recommend.
I'm a HT guy speed matters I will pay attention to see if I agree with this fellow.
One thing I will comment on is they come in this fancy box especially the Titan's. Save me the money and a simpler box will do.

I found better bass and middle also it opens the sound stage.

Gaia II's under my YG Acoustic Carmels, using the Carpet Discs on a Persian rug over berber on concrete. I felt the bass tightened noticeably. They replaced Stillpoints Ultra SS, which replaced the original spikes.

    Re: Iso Acoustic Footers

I would say that the Iso acoustics are fairly priced so it should be easy to just try out , and if they dont work as expected then sell them
Haven't tried myself yet but thinking maybe next year to try some under my loudspeakers and possible under either Accuphase E-470 or my Lumin T1.
To see what they can do.

I tried the II's under my VS speakers.
I lost body and fullness. They thinned out the presentation.
On the set I tried, the machined flat areas on some of the studs were not machined properly and I was not able to insert the included wrench on the studs. A lack of quality control IMO.
    YMMV

    Smile Re: Iso Acoustic Footers

I have Gaia IIs under my 2006 Avantgarde Duos (on timber on concrete floors) and the improvement in the bass detail was noticable and well worthwhile, despite the speakers being too heavy for IIs.

I bought them for my Martin Logan 13As but I couldn't get these speakers to out-perform my old Unos despite their Anthem room correction and Gaia feet, but that's because of my difficult room. [As new MLs now for sale to anyone in UK by the way]

Unfortunately my new Duo XDs are even heavier so I'm about to buy Gaia Is, although like others, I object to having to pay for a very fancy "jewel box" that is of no use whatsoever after the feet are removed. I've written to IsoAcoustiuc about this ridiculous waste of recources - and our money! Cardboard cartons are good enough for megabucks equipment, so why do these feet need such an extravagent case?

Does anyone have 2 sets of Gaia I or Titan Theis for sale - with or preferably without the case? Thanks
Sources - NAD M50.2 (streamer, CD player, CD ripper, hard drive music store)
Amplification - NAD M33, NAD M12, Consonance Cyber 845 monoblocs
Speakers - Avantgarde Duo XD, Avantgarde Duo (2006 - aesthetically modified), Martin Logan Expression 13A (now sold)

This is the problem with many footers (either in speakers or in equipment).
In a first hearing we are deceived because the system seems more open, resolute and detailed.

While that may or may not be the case, I personally will take the full-bodied reproduction over a thinner "more detailed" response.

Same here, can't handle thin and hyper detailed.
