Have you ever sold a piece of gear and later regretted it? If so - what?

For me, its:

- Sonus Faber Stradivari
- Pass XA160.5's
- Mcintosh 2301's
- Classe CP800 (the first time, second time and third time!). Not to worry, a fourth one is on its way. This has to be a record.

Good heavens Mike, you sold three Classe CP800s? I guess you didn't get the clue that you were supposed to own one after the first one? How come you kept selling them?
Uh, your not thinking of repeating the same mistake again with the fourth one, are you? The Classe people must love you, heck they should give you one just because you sold three of them! Ok, I know it don't work like that, just teasing you.

I haven't experienced this regret and unlikely to any time in future unless by force.

I know - trust me. I would always get it and then replace it with something else (McIntosh C1000, ARC REF10, D'Agostino preamp, etc.). I think I'll keep this one awhile. If has the new DAC AND new Phonostage in it.

Unfortunately no, Classe won't give me one. But I do have a good Classe dealer. ;)

Audio Physics Virgo IIs. Loved those speakers. I'm always looking on Agon for a used pair at a fair price.

Revel Studio 2s
McIntosh MC275s
Sonus Faber Evolutions
Audio Research REF 5SE
B&W 802 Diamonds
Rega P9

Come to think of it…..Now I wish I kept everything.

A good Classe dealer (a good dealer period) is good to have. I love the look of Classe gear even though it has a minimalist flavor, there is just something about it that is just darn nice. I've never played with any Classe gear though so I'm clueless as to how it sounds.

haha!!! one of mine is audio physic virgo 1's , i loved them but was turned off because of the lack of bass and only because i had them right after the most bass pumping monitors ever. so i never gave them a chance, they stayed for 3 months then sold them for silverline sonatas, blah!!!!
my others are
vpi tnt mk4(the top one at the time)
my original vpi aries1
grado statement cartridge.
and i just recently sold my hovland hp100 and miss it already. i should have kept it and ran my phonostage through it.

I totally regret selling my first Shindo Aurieges L. It blew my mind and made me reassess what was important with regards to playback. Sold it, bought some Leben (which was hardly terrible), sold the Leben and bought an Aurieges MM and a Montille 6V6... then evolved to what I have now (Masseto/Haut Brion). I sort of regret selling my old Grace GS10 step up transformer too, gave it away at a stupid low price in a fit of idiocy. And the Grace F10L cartridge as well...

A factory stock real rosewood (not rosenut) plinthed LP12 with an Ittok and a pair of Celestion SL 700's, sold at least 25 years ago, thats it.
