Welcome to the forum Richard! Thank you for joining and sweeeeeeet Lite 7 Lampi!

Nice system you have, can you show the Quicksilver V4 monos?

OK, so mine is not anywhere near as cool as the rest of your's but I am proud of it because I built it. I got the boards from Lampi before they shut down the DIY store. It's a level 5 balanced. Used a chassis from an old test piece. Had to cut and make several of the panels to upgrade to my requirements. Cut and made a Corian front panel. It came out beautiful. It is all dry fitted and ready to wire up. Tubes will be a Bendix 5852 and signal tubes will be of the 6dj8/6922/7308 family. View attachment Attachments_201645.zip

Thanks Mike, That is a Lumin U1. I have had a A1 since the launch and wanted to move upward so the Lumin U1 and Lampzator Lite7 was my path.
A little leap of faith since I had not heard the Lampizator but wow what a result. I did not know Lampizator had dealers or I would have given you a call.
Right after I received it I saw that post on the R2R pcm, and now that I have had a few days with the Lite7 I know the Big7 is in my not too distant future.

Lucky you ! The value for money of their old DIY kits were off the charts good.

Congrats on the big 7 Richard. Very cool. Could you share a bit on the sonic differences between this and your Lite 7 ?
Thanks

I only have a few hour on the Big 7, but wow I really like it. The most dramatic change is the R2R engine. There was a big difference in the Lite 7 between the DSD engine and the PCM, so much so that I wanted to upsample everything to DSD and just run the dsd engine. On the Big 7 not only does the dsd sound better (the tubes are new KR274b & KRPX4 and seem alot better out of the box) richer, more detailed and also a more complete sound from more natural sounding highs thru to mid and lows. but there does not seem to be any drop off when switching to pcm it sounds wonderful. I think that running native formats on my system sounds better, the image does not sound as forward as when I upsampled PCM to DSD. So far so good.
