I've probably played with far more LampizatOr DACs than most, but have largely stuck to our own TranspOrt, despite its 24/88 limitations. Recently my desire for a good DSD transport got the best of me and I succumbed to the desire of an Aurender N100H which has been a really awesome mate with great SQ and admittedly a user interface.

What are you guys using at home?

Very nice, Mike! I'll be quite curious of your impressions on the N10... The N100H is already a great device, so I'm curious what more it can bring to the table in terms of sonics.

Mac Mini, with the Uptone Audio conversion kit and an LPS. Sounds awesome. Use a Dana Cable USB to between the two. May also play with a Raspberry Pi 2 soon.

Stock MM, Modified Denon Universal player for disks, soon an Aries and will test out a Bryston BDP-2 from a pal. I expect to get a CAPs down the road.

Antipodes DX - CAD USB - Golden Gate

Sublime.

Hello there.

Abu Dhabi...been there is 2013 (Yaz Island-Viceroy). Liked it a lot. Only high end store I saw during the week there was in the Dubai Mall, I believe.

How long have you had the GG Dac? Is this your first Lampi?

Are you upconverting to DSD these days, Shawn? I thought you were a native res guy.

Not to sound like a troll but HQP is the worst piece of software I've seen in ages. You must have the patience of a saint!

Ian,

Thanks for that honest assessment. I'm sticking with Audirvana Plus until I have a reason to change. The software works brilliantly and couldn't be easier to navigate.

I have had the GG for about 7 weeks. The break in process has been been slow. The magic with pcm started at 200 - 225 hours. DSD was another 200 hours. They both continue to improve. I arrived in Chicago today for two weeks. When I go back I hope to have a pair of Elrog 300Bs and 3 NOS rectifiers to start tube rolling. This is my first Lampy. After years of mid-tier front end components I finally made the decision to get the best that was within my budget, thus the Antipodes and the GG. Best move I have made.

If I want to upsample something, which I do often, I do it on the computer and save a separate file. I use either Adobe Audition CS6 or iZotope, both have ideal filter characteristics, and guaranteed to be better than any embedded on the fly upsampling. It's still PCM, but does produce solid results.

I have A+. JRiver and HQP.

HQP can do what the others cant, even as JRiver has the best ergonomics and A+ is a easy turnkey solution.

HQP has many more parameters to set up as the basis is the cutting edge modulator. if you want to upconvert, this is the ticket to ride.

At the moment, Jussi's modulators cant be beaten. You just need an appropriate computer.
