I've heard great things looking forward to impressions. Like active bass

I've owned the original Quatro and spent a lot of time listening to the CT version at the dealer and they're fantastic. Easy to drive with 60 tube watts or SS amp, and includes an active sub bass system that goes down to 25 hz. I could not figure out why they didn't get more press. IMHO they give you a huge slice of what the Model 5 carbon offers and the foot print is hardly greater than a stand-mount.

Looking forward to your impressions. Active and adjustable bass would enable it to fit most rooms. Unlike AvantGarde though, RV does not believe in digital EQ or amps.

Supposedly great synergy with Ayre so Ayre QX-5 Twenty + AX-5 Twenty with the Quatro CT would make a great system.

That's the idea! All AudioQuest power and cables too. Vandy/Ayre/AQ will be a great combo to show. I'll sneak an Aurender or Lumin U1 in there too to play with the Ayre QX5. [emoji6]

While there, you might also want to sneak in a Melco to take advantage of the ethernet input on the QX-5. Ayre uses the Melco.

Yes, I carry Melco, but I haven't brought one in to try. Waiting on the QX-5 first.

Mike I can't wait to hear the Quatro CT , it peaks my interest

I've received a LOT of interest about the Quattro CT's. When I get them set up, you have to come over to the store for a listen. I'm waiting on my AQ cables for that system. Source will be Aurender A10 (just using the USB output) into the Ayre QX5 DAC.

Got that right Mike, it will be a great excuse to take a little drive south again plus give me a chance to stop into (again) Classic Cars of Sarasota.

The Vandersteen Quatro Wood CT are wonderful sounding and looking speakers, which kill nearly everything at their price point. They give you a good portion of the Vandersteen 7's sound quality at just a fraction of the price.

You get that classic Vandersteen sound, very linear with ultra smooth and organic midrange and treble. Plus you get twin powered subwoofers with 11-band equalization just like the big boys. This provides the ideal cohesive foundation for the midrange and treble, while making the speakers seamlessly integrate into the listening room.

These speakers are so non-fatiguing that you can listen for hours on end. They just disappear in your room and let you focus on the music. Just huge bang for the buck in my honest opinion.

I showed them to the wife, and holly cow she likes the looks. I find that :shocking:so now all I have to do is to get her to :signhere:

I have no doubt that the Vandy Quatro wood CT, 5A carbon and Sevens are all awesome!

The Quatro CT are really nice. I would consider moving to them or the Treo CT if I couldn't have my Magnepan 3.7i's.
