So, I have just watched about every single video and they are super kewl and I have learned stuff. From my impression alone, Zero is targeting a broad audience but for me, I like that his videos makes me feel like he is talking to me...the Y/Z generation. I get it...his sarcasm is kewl. He's raw and unscripted and best...you get a sense he is being honest [yep, its his pet project and he is upfront, it's about what he likes *mic drop*]. You don't have to agree with him but it's nice to have a venue that isn't sponsored nor do I get the impression he is a sell-out. Oh yeah, and you get to go on his hifi journey.

Good Stuff

I appreciate the shoutout!

Since I'm so bad at responding to positive attention, I'll just go ahead and say that reading your comments made me smile. You took away from the project exactly what I was hoping you (and anybody else) would. At the end of the day, I know my style isn't for everyone. The numbers reflect that. But if I can help a few people out on their journey, then that's all that really matters to me.

As an aside, how in the heck did you stomach all of those videos? Not even I can do that - and I made them! :D

Zero, it's my pleasure and I needed to do it. Us generation Y & Z gotta stick together!

Dude, there is nothing other there for us in our generation and/or mindset. It's all older stuff. So, watching you was refreshing because usually when I watch other online videos, it's like I am listening to my dad and grandpa. Don't get me wrong, they are super smart and experienced, but there is definitely a generational gap...they don't really want to relate to us. That said...we have to carry the torch and make sure we keep our minds open to the kids we have eventually, right?

I think you are the only person I know on any of the forums that is in my generation - don't go away!

Hey man,

I guess I'm an oddball. I actually enjoy riffing back and forth with the grandpa's. :D

Seriously though, the good news is that there *are* plenty of young people who care about sound quality. To witness this first hand, all you gotta do is stroll over to head-fi.org. Heck, some of the members there are young enough to regard you and I as grandpas! hehe

I just wish I cared more about head-fi stuff. Oh well, not only do I totally understand why so many people are into that side of the business, at the end of the day, I'm just pumped to see it filled with so many enthusiastic young people. It really gives me hope for the future.

Meanwhile... let me hip you to at least two other Youtube channels that I like:

The first is New Record Day. The guy who runs this channel is a good friend of mine. In my opinion, he is the best in the business. This dude creates all-out productions, whereas I'm just a jackass with a camera.

Next is Vinyleyezz. This kid isn't really an audiophile, but he loves the hell outta some vinyl. His positive enthusiasm is difficult not to love. The fact that his editing game is quite strong doesn't hurt either.
