How do you synch the YouTube picture with the sound playing thru a LUMIN U1 via AirPlay? The delay is driving me nuts.
Search didn’t help me much.

If you feed YouTube video thru a receiver or some sort, most receivers these days should have a lip-sync function.

I would think that the LUMIN software should have the capability since they advertise that airplay works thru it.
Does anyone else with a LUMIN or other streamers have this problem?

What are you using to watch the video portion? If say from an iPad you are transmitting the audio through WiFi from one device to another so there is going to be a small and maybe annoying delay. I have had the same delay using an Auralic streamer too. If the audio was ahead of the video you could slow it down with software but you can't speed it up.

Hello,

Due to the security and (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth) wireless overhead of AirPlay, you probably won't ever get the audio and video to sync when watching the video on the iPad and audio through your system. The video plays directly on the iPad, but the audio sent via AirPlay has to negotiate the connection to the AirPlay device, and the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth overhead adds to the delay. If you were to AirPlay both audio and video to say an tv, then through your system, it should stay in sync.

Hope that helps.

Unfortunately there's always going to be a delay for AirPlay synchronization between video/audio. The reason is that audio sent this way goes through multiple levels of buffering from the iOS to the Lumin to the DAC. In particular the buffer inside Lumin has to be large enough for typical WiFi irregularities or there would easily be dropouts.
