OMG

The world is ending!!!!!!

LOL

It is amazing how we (I) get out of our lazy convenience way of life. Scary too - I forget my phone one day and It's like the ....... :(

From what I found,
CBS News had reached out for comment during the outage, but YouTube didn't respond beyond the company's Twitter posts.
and there's no official comments since then.

Why would Youtube even owe a comment. Their service is used by people basically for free, unless you are a paid subscriber for .99 a month to get rid of the adds.

Maybe because it's the 2nd most visited site on the Internet, and provides the backbone for the video content for plenty of other websites and services?

Regardless of whether it is free to use, it's an important service provided by Google for others to use, and when you provide an internet service, uptime matters.

I guess Youtube doesn;t feel the same way as we users expect. 2 days later NO comment on what happened.

A server issue, a maintenance issue, a reset issue, a warning issue, a data overload issue, a hacking issue, a privacy issue, a control test, a global issue, a sign of things to come?

https://www.vidpaw.com/blog/youtube-is-down.html

It mainly affected the global centers, 2 billion YouTube subscribers.
Total of people living on planet Earth (with few percentage points of margin error): 7.65 billion inhabitants.
YouTube total users are over 25% of the the total global population; that is huge.

Looking @ that map; Canada, Africa, Russia and China don't have many YouTube users.
Or they were less affected because of the climate change, or their economy, or it's colder up North and warmer in Africa, or they are censored in China?
The top hackers in the world are from Russia, China and North Korea. ...The South too.
Canada doesn't have hackers, Canada has pot (marijuana)...legal too, not censored.
Saudi Arabia and China ... It's not their forte...free speech.
Africa? They have elephants, and safaris. ...High seas highjackers? ...They have deserts of sands.

Methinks it was an overload server data issue. Or, a diversion to take the world away from the latest news with Saudi Arabia. They have enough global control to buy this planet and sell it to the first alien bidder. Black gold can do that.

Lol, all the guesses were just about wrong.
Something is different, new, better now (sort of) with YouTube videos.

So I'm thinking it was an upgrade issue. And perhaps they had to shut it down for about and hour or so.

See if you notice something new above?
