Nope. I have A/B'd many cables and the newcomer doesn't always win out. My dealer(s) haven't thrown that line at me.

I've never had that one either.

To get me to try it - they have said that nobody has ever returned it to them. I didn't either.

It’s a bit like saying, listen to it with your own ears. And when you don’t like it, that your ears are wrong.

Auditioned six high quality phono cables recently, and went with a seventh one afterwards. The dealer was ok with me not picking most of them.

Questionable sales strat IMHO, apparently not a successful one [emoji3].

A statement like that has little or no value by itself as it says nothing about what any of that dealer’s customer’s system and tried alternatives were nor whether the customer sold the cable, or used it for another purpose (eg an ethernet cable) instead of returning it.
