XD Fine Tuning

I have the XD software connected by ethernet from speakers to my computer always.

And I find I'm making simple adjustments to the bass for almost every album:

3db up or 3 db down at 40hz; maybe a slight shift in the crossover and adjusting the Gain sliders. Very basic, just as a response to balance overly thin and overly thick recordings.

It reminds me of using the old tone controls on a receiver back in 80's and I find it to be really effective! (I've noticed that Luxman still puts tone controls on their preamps.)

I'm curious how other AG XD owners are using this software?

I’m, unfortunately, not that detail oriented. Once I put a proper computer and monitor in my listening room, I’ll start playing more. I’m having a hard time reading Avantgarde software on my laptop.
