Just demoed a WW Starlight and a WW Plat 10 Ethernet cable to replace a Supra Cat8+ cable from my second modded Buffalo Switch to my Antipodes K50 server.

Theoretically, this connection should only affect Qobuz as my files inside the K50 are downstream.

I wasn’t expecting much but to cut to the chase, directly out of the box the Plat 10 Ethernet cable was incredible.

Clearly better inner detail which showed up as a deeper sound stage. Tracks with upper frequency congestion - think violins or cymbal crashes - were so much more clearly defined as to make me not trust myself. The Plat 10 was clearly better than the Starlight which killed my Supra Cat8+.

All testing done exclusively using Qobuz tracks.

Bought the Plat 10. Thanks Mike!

What cable are you running from your NAS to the router? I was thinking of running my starlight (red one) from my mini to the router, and the platinum from my router to my streamer over the starlight. Thanks

From my router, I run a 25’ Supra Cat 8+ into a Modified Buffalo switch. Then fiber from it to a second Buffalo switch. From there, the WW Plat 10 to my Antipodes Kala K50.

Sorry to add another post. I’m looking at a Shunyata Alpha V2 vs WW Platinum silver one. Have you ever had the opportunity to compare the two. I’m looking for something clear, transparent almost analytical. I want to hear every drop of detail going into my esoteric streamer and dac.

I have not heard any Shunyata Ethernet cables.

I too have a PF Buffalo switch and a Kala K50. I ran long stretch of inexpensive Leviton 5E from office modem and router to my PF Buffalo and then fiber from PF Bufalo to my LUMIN X1 and then RJ45 ethernet to my Kala K50 and RJ45 from Kala K50 to my Mola Mola DAC in my Makua. I initially tried using my EtherREGEN after my PF Buffalo to the Antipodes, but had some issues with a longer stretch Audio Artistry ethernet cable--ground attached both ends was an issue with EtherREGEN. I contemplated various solutions, including fiber from my office, another additional switch, and different cabling, but elected to try an Ediscreation Fiberbox II Extreme, converting RJ45 to fiber and back to RJ45. I ran output from it to the PF Buffalo. It appears Fiberbox II has been replaced with Fiberbox III in choice of Standard and Extreme. I have been very pleased with my Fiberbox II and have not as yet added any further switches nor filtering devices. I do not have the EtherREGEN currently in the configuration. I do find that different ethernet cables do present differently in my system and have tested swapping positions for presentation I prefer. I pretty much try that whenever I add an interconnect or power cable as well.

Congratulations on your new WW Plat 10 and sharing your results.
