A few days ago I was listening to an old Audiophile favorite - Jennifer Warnes’ Famous Blue Raincoat.

I thought, damn, this sure sounds awesome. I’ve always wanted a stereo that sounded this good. And now I’ve got it!

I’m a happy camper!

Who here is jazzed by what they’ve carefully assembled and tweaked?

I usually will play Jennifer Warnes "The Hunter", both digital, and vinyl, when evaluating system changes. Nice mix of bass, mids, and highs. And enjoyable to listen to. Ill give the blue raincoat a try, I think I have that album.

That's a great choice! I'm currently listening to the Groove Note One Step release of Vanessa Fernandez, "Use Me". It's another excellent record and sounds fantastic via my Koetsu Rosewood Signature cartridge and TTW turntable.

The Hunter has some very prominent bass lines. I’ll check it out, it’s a fun listen.

*Raises hand*

I stumbled across this again about two or three months ago and actually added it to my demo playlist (above the reference playlist). While it may have been a ho-hum selection before, it is now an outstanding song, as well as recording. I listen to it often, as I actually enjoy the hell out of it now.

Of course, there are many more selections that were ho-hum before, but this one really stood out.

McIntosh for the win!!!

I inherited the cd from my uncle, who dies far too young in 2000. there was a second album in that collection: I'm your man by Leonard Cohen, which contains the same tracks, That one is slower, more serious, but is also a masterwork.

Listened to these 2 over and over, but a year later there was the attack on the twin towers. The title song (first we take Manhatten) reminds me of that. After that attack and what did happen afterwards I stopped listening to those albums for a long time.
