Hi Sharks:

I'm curious if you would all like to see some reader systems in the pages of TONEAudio. I think it might be a fun thing to see what our readers are into, what their setups are, etc etc.

I'd like to concentrate on different systems, so they don't necessarily have to be big bucks systems to be considered. I'm looking more for enthusiasm than money spent, though I'm sure we'll probably profile a few over the top systems too.

If we do this, it would include me flying out to your place, taking some pics and having a listen with you. Really making it something personal.

Let me know what you think!

I like that a lot. And given how Joe gets new equipment frequently you could feature his system every month ! [emoji38]

If you want to fly to Australia, we could schedule it.

American muscle down under.

sure.

any excuse for audio trips is good.

I was just in Portland Friday night for 10 minutes......a quick trip for me.....or you.

system synergy is really where it's at. and it's fun to read/hear how people have accomplished it and the thinking behind it. lots of ways to find the music.

It's a great idea. When I subscribed to what hifi they had a similar feature that I really enjoyed. Love reading about other audiophile systems and especially enjoy the pics.

You would , wouldn't you .... :)

Perhaps. Would depend if the target reader audience would still consider my string of boxes relevant. Equipment ages, trends change, desirability levels shift in different economic climates especially with imports against weaker currencies.

For example, I'd like to complete the audio loop with an Ayre QA-9 ADC and a DAC like a Lampizator B7 or GG. Presently, I can't even get my hands on a QA-9 for a number of reasons, primarily due to poor dealer representation. The stronger USD is making it less palatable also.

Great idea! Not only show the system but also include a short profile about the owner - music tastes, what they like about their system...

I think this is a great idea. Perhaps what they consider their most important component & their best quality music sound-wise.

Reader systems - I like it!

How much of the publication would be dedicated? Polaroid in the corner of a page or multiple pages?

Related questions: Would you ever show "ToneAudio Approved Systems"? - Basically the combination of gear and room that provides an enjoyable experience. There are so many reviews of individual components but none of a complete system (other than the solid car audio reviews in ToneAudio).

Thanks,

Bill
