Woodward Dream Cruise 2014

For those of you who do not know The Woodward Dream Cruise is the worlds largest one day automotive event. From 1 to 1.5 million spectators line a 16 Mile stretch of Woodward to see ~40,000 hot rods, muscle cars, sports cars, specialty cars, oldies and current exotics. Cars come from all over the US and some foreign locales to either cruise or find a parking spot to watch. The event started 20 years ago and was only set for 9sm to pm9 on Saturday. The event has morphed the point where the cruisers are on Woodward all week and the road is occasionally gets shut down by the police.

Would love to see it some day. On my bucket list. Grew up in Auburn Heights just north of Detoit. Used to drive down Woodward all the time. I remember one time cruising in my cousins '70 Chevelle LS6 and having a stoplight drag with an old guy in a '70 Corvette
that had "Factory Experimental" on the hood. We blew his doors off. Most likely because we had 4 guys in the car. extra weight over the back tires kept the wheelspin down.
