Anyone here have/had/heard the Woo 234 monos?

Specifically for headphones, but interested in speaker experience also.

Yes indeed. Looking forward to his impressions! I wonder if anyone else has too...

I really love the sound of mine. I'm using Takatsuki TA-300B, Takatsuki rectifier and a Kenrad 6sn7 NOS.

It's sort of a pain to have to turn up the 2 volume controls, but channel balance is very easy so it not a big deal.

I have not used any speakers so I'm not much help with that.

They do cost a lot, so it's hard for me to really recommend them but if you want the SOTA headphone amp and cost isn't an issue - they are the best that I've heard. The only amp that comes close is the Apex Pinnacle. The WA234 looks great and is built like a tank, definitely not only sounds but also looks like a statement piece.

I haven't done much tube rolling, but as time permits this winter, I'll play around with it.

To add: I do feel that Woo audio is a good company to buy from. BUT - I would add a month or so to any delivery time that they give you. Their time management is on their "hope to ship" and not "reality to ship" thinking. I don't think that they try to miss lead people, just they are too busy to get things out the door.

Thanks Jock. Sounds like you've lined yup the best tubes anyway, the Taks are a hot topic atm :¬)

I have heard st lenth the amp on many headphones and speakers . It's a very good amp and unique in the fact it rolls many tubes . It doing so it can manage many sound scapes in one amp. Very open , clean and Musical always . Looks it's a ten plus
Good morning professor have you tried the tungsol or rca VT99. it needs a adaptor but it's my top choice as a driver in both of my woo amps and my lampi head dac .
About 120 all
In with an adaptor .
