Wish we had a place like this!

Have been there many times. The most impressive demo I have ever heard, my audio epiphany was the MBL extreme set-up at Coherence Audio.

That is awesome still-one. One thing i noticed is that many shops carry similar brands. In video, I saw Raidho at 2-3 shops. How come manufactures allow that? No restriction on territory?

Amazing place. We were in Singapore about 11 years ago, just before Christmas (same weather all year round in Singapore - they are on the Equator so 12 hour days and nights all year round also). Four days there and we saw so many gigantic indoor multi-story malls in a row down Orchard Road. The Adelphi Mall is in a different part of town, and I just stumbled upon it by accident. A decade ago the brands offered were slightly different, more western brands, but so much high end equipment, all in one building. Never have seen anything like it before or after.

We were going on our first round the world trip, going east from San Francisco, with the ultimate destination of Hong Kong. We stopped in London, Rome, Singapore and then Hong Kong. After a week in Rome, where we were treated to a city with more old medieval and renaissance churches and Roman religious ruins than any other place we had ever been, we could easily contrast that with Singapore, where everything was new and instead of the religious Gods of Rome, the Gods of Singapore were the Gods of Capitalism and the temples and churches were high rise shopping centers. Instead of the great Roman Fountains (ala Respighi) Singapore has the largest fountain in the world in the center of a giant shopping center - the Fountain of Wealth!

Very nice indeed.

I'm Dutch and in the Netherlands there are about 4 high end dealers and they try not to sell the same brands up to a point partly because of trade ins.

I'm afraid my favorite dealer will close his shop within a two or three years. The owner is well into his 60's and it's a one man shop.

Not sure what I will do when he closes. The other shops are not my style. I dislike shops where the owner wears a Rolex, drives a big BMW and the shop looks like a showroom. Sadly most audio shops are like that.

Wow, what a place, and the guy that presented it did a great job, you can feel his passion!

It’s an all year trade show.

In the past some of the shops only carried one line of products. If I remember correctly the Gryphon store was single branded as was McIntosh and Krell shop (which is now closed) . Some of these may have acted as the Regional distribution.

Less of these today.

Shops need to cast their nets wider or they won't cover the rent.

The high end is a sunset industry.

Growth is seen in small systems, DACs, desktop speakers, headphones etc.

No doubt, it’s a tough industry, but so are many others, I remain optimistic
