Pretty sweet, Mike! Play some Liz Longley, remote in one hand, single malt in the other.... ahhh...

Damn, look at that! New toys to play with. You really need some proper speakers with those though... ;)

Thanks Allen and Doug. I'm breaking them in for the eventual arrival of the Spatials. But surprised at how effortlessly they drive the Alexia's to decent SPL's.

wooohooo!!! nice Mike!!!! i knew they would i was just telling joe how the 15w cary 300b's would drive his 92db strads easy as pie. and sound great together. congrats, does yours have the cv378/gz37 rectifier? if so order the mullard nos rectifiers they are only a couple hundred and worth the money.

Thanks Steve. I knew you would love seeing these beauties. Oh don't you worry, I've already begun tube rolling.

If I had to sum them up in one word, it would be "natural".

By the way, did we ever reach any consensus on the top dog 300b? Sophia? WE replicas?

Hmmmm.....good to hear what 15 watts can do on your Alexia and now I just swapped the 15watts 300B to 175 watts Tenor and now I'm in heaven again......

Trust me Doug, it's worth the drive. Paul and Mark's Tannoy systems are musical, beautiful to look at and really get your toes tapping.

natural sums it up for me. i have 300b fever now.lol. welcome to the club.
i have not tested the sophia royal princess because of the $1200 pricetag. but $450 princess mesh plates against similarly priced psvane t2's(thanks to you) was easily hands down sophia. and i would buy the royals over any other for my next pair. but the emission xls huge 300b's in the t1500 integrated was really nice with some serious deep bass. and makes the 12.5 into 15w . i might try those next too.
