Why are speakers no longer available in 15 or 16 ohms?

I'm 16 ohm curious and wonder why the majority of speakers are only available in 4 ohms (some 8 ohms). Except for one, maybe two speaker models, no new speakers are 16 ohm impedance.

I probably should have purchased a pair of the Falcon LS3/5a when I had the chance, any thoughts on others available?

Only Toobs benefit from having a 16 ohm speaker and since most amps are SS , you would lose 50% of your amplifiers power output running at 16 ohms.. That aside , all amplfiers produce higher Distortion numbers when drivinglower impedance's, say when you run multiple drivers and 2ohms , but this is mostly offset by the added amplfier power (SS) higher sensitivity from the added drivers and the lower speaker distortion from running said multiple drivers ...
