Who makes great 6L6 tube amps ? ....

Thanks for.the welcome from all. I built an 8 tube 6L6 amp some years ago and an RM-9SE chassis. It was handbuilt by me for my own use. I was going to produce it but there was little interest in the 6L6 at the time. It puts out over 200 watts per channel and has excess current as it enters positive grids (6L6s were designed for positive grid region and it's on many of the curves). If interested send me a PM.

I bet that's a great amp. I may have to talk to you about it if no one wants it :)

I just moved, a sweet little Cayin M-6; that was powered by (4) 6L6s. Served me well, in the Office...and even pushed KEF LS-50s around, surprisingly well.

Hello ,
I just changed my tablet and writings were still with french suggested words. I didn't re read before posting but now I see it is not understandable .

So please I apologize and moderator thank you for erasing this horrible post.

I wanted to say Air Tight ATM4 is a very very good 6L6 GC amp that delivers 24 watt but can be bridged in mono mode for a mere 48 watts. It has volume pots and 2 inputs so you can use it as an integrated as well with 2 high output sources.
Sound is velvety sweet but with enough body it could suit very well for Harbeth or any good but difficult to drive quality speaker like Quad ESL.

Thank you for re-posting, very much appreciate your input.

I'm using a pair of modified Heathkit W5m monoblocks to power the tweeters in my biamped system and they sound luscious. They can run 6L6 or KT66s. I'm presently using 6L6's. If I recall accurately, the KT66s are smoother but the 6L6s are more lively. There's a wider selection of 6L6s' available vs. KT66. They make look humble but they put out the goods.

And don't forget the (reissue) 7581a. A 6L6 on steroids. It doesnt the sexy bottle shape, but I've read it's very nice sounding from top to bottom
