150 Onion plants went in yesterday. 50 sets of White, 50 sets of Red, and 50 plants of Yellow.

Today I will start to lay out the Soaker Hose for the Lettuce, Scallions and Swiss Chard and by the end of the weekend a batch of Potatoes will be planted.

Jim, That looks like a really nice quiet relaxing spot. Are you doing any Veggies?

It's actually to the left of our front door(!) The backyard looks out over Lake Lanier. No place for a garden there.

So far:

tomatoes
cucumbers
brussels sprouts
basil
dill
lavender

Well it's that time again folks. Who is doing veggies this year, or other garden types?

Yesterday I got my main garden ready, laid out, and some planting.
Planted a section of Scallions, 2 rows of Lettuce - Romain and Black Seeded Simpson, 1 row of Swiss Chard - White, Red, and Neon Mixed Hybrid, and a row of 200 Peas.

In the secondary gardens, the 100 mixed Onion plants are all about 8" tall from sets.
The 100 heads of Garlic have grown right thru the winter and will need an early harvest for sure. Already dropping the first browned leaf.
The row of Potatoes are all growing nicely but I need to get them netted so the Deer don't munch them all up.

Today I hope to get the soaker hose laid out in the main garden and then start planting Peppers and Tomatoes.

I thought the FBI were raiding Off-gridders in some US states and forcing them to dig up their organic home gardens? I've seen some stories with photos which depict a pretty sorry tail..

This whole season has been very odd. I had no ripe tomatoes until 2 weeks ago. The Russet Potato plants died off in July so I dug them up and had a nice batch of medium and small potatoes. I also found that a few of the 100 cloves of Garlic did turn to heads, but with no real outer wrapper, just clusters of individual cloves. The Purple Potatoes from last year that I must have missed are still going and not ready to dig up. Scallions are now finally at a mature size and tasty, but over a month late like the tomatoes. Our Peas got burnt out to quickly because we had to reseed 2x and it just got too hot. The small batch we got were good. Here are a few things picked yesterday. The Yellow tomato in front is of normal size. The Yellow/Orange Cherries are more candy than Vegetable. The big one weighed in at 2.25lbs
