Who has more than one pair of speakers?

That’s a great list Dan.

Thank goodness I’m not alone here. :)

nice speakers (when they work :)). I know it aint your first rodeo (far from it) but a major auditory adjustment will need to take place coming down from Avantgardes. If you listen to Quads in the nearfield and treat them like the giant headphones they are, little compares to them, IMHO.

This thread makes me feel little better. I’m not the only weirdo [emoji23]

No, but weird nonetheless. :)

I feel the same. This is like a support group for audiophiles.

4 pairs plus a Bose like Boomer speaker. 3 pairs are Heils....the other (bookshelf) one is a Linn Index.

B&W 704S - waiting on my brother's WAF
B&W 803D - current rear channels
Rockport Avior - current mains

If the Aviors are replaced, they will become rear channels for a 5.2 Rockport HT.

Yup, I’ve heard them many many times. It may not work out. A bit of horse trading with the other dealer needs to occur and I may have just sold the Integrated amp we were discussing in the trade.

I have a horse I could trade for the Quads. Maybe even throw in a cat.

Btw, add up all the speakers in the thread so far. Whatever the total is, Mike and I know a guy in St Pete who has more. In one place. 2 buildings, but one place.

they had many issues with the panels (failures) when production shifted to Asia. Id find out if they were replaced, when, who did them, etc.

I am a bit envious with all the gear you guys have... I have just one set :(... but they do what I need. The KEF R700 (although would eventually love to get either Reference's or Blade ii's :) ).

Sometimes less is more, the r700 are good looking and sounding speakers and my experience with kef in the past their 'R' series offers more detail, but without careful component matching no more musicality.

Wilson Benesch Cardinal/Torus
Martin Logan Masterpiece Renaissance ESL15A
Avantgarde Zero 1XD

That list is in flux at the moment,

I'm out of room and driving to get another pair of speakers today so my list will be
Usher BE20-dmd
Revel salon 2-for sale
Kef R107/2-for sale
Vienna Acoustics Strauss-for sale
Vienna Acoustics Beethovens I'm keeping forever
The salon 2 have been a compromise in my room with each movement revealing a little more of the speaker quality, but after 9 months of inching them around my room I'm going to sell them as it seems the placement I get the best imaging is where I have a bass null that sucks the energy out of my old rock recordings. sigh. These are truly amazing speakers and if I had my way I'd move my system to another room in the house that would better accommodate the speakers, but I listen a bit too loud to be let out of the basement.

I have Dynaudio Contour 1.8 as my main 2 channel speakers. I have a pair of Usher X-719's as my main L and R home theater speakers and Usher S-520 currently doing surround duty in my HT rig

Not a good question for me! I have a pair of TAD R1 MK IIs in storage! (building a dedicated room this year, these came up for sale on a deal too good to pass up (even after storage costs), and so here we are - with fabulous speakers, just sitting.
