Ok, so many points to make here. Firstly the new amp will have a lot more power and control vs the SIA-025 Mk1/Mk2. The extra 5 watts is only the Class A biasing. Class A/B power will be atleast double the SIA-025 Mk1. Secondly, Vitus measure power in 'true RMS' which is a tougher metric compared to other manufacturers which publish bs specs. For example, 30 watts of Vitus power would destroy 30 watts of Accuphase power. Additionally, the new amp should incorporate 'Intelligent Class A bias' like the SM-011 mono's, which ensures optimal thermal conditions for the output stage at all times (a key to Vitus's tube-like sound). Finally the SIA-030 will be a new model in the product lineup & won't replace the SIA-025, hence the pricing of the 025 shouldn't change in the short term. I'm unsure if/when the dac option will be available. To be fair, Magico give much less information about future product releases, so I can't really blame Vitus for keeping a lid on it.Thanks David, One wonders if the extra 5 watts will be all that substantial. Additionally, I'm curious if the DAC will be available right away. Pricing should be interesting. I'm hearing $30Kish. I also hear that they are signing on a new USA distributor. Not usually good for pricing. Lastly, I wonder if they will price the SIA-025 lower...
