Which speaker had a problem?

Wow. I wish he would have included the stores comments as well. Especially since they claim a similar incident with another customer.

Paint defects is obviously not from shipping I wonder why Rockport didn't just refinish the speaker.

This is disheartening as I like the sound of Rockport speakers and always had a positive perception of the brand.

But you cannot exist in this realm with poor QC and offer excuses to the customers spending big dollars on your brand.
The only saving grace is that the dealer is solid and took care of things properly.

I won't comment on Rockport but the room would drive me nuts. I couldn't listen to the whole video so if they commented on adding room treatments, I take it back.

I was thinking the exact same thing! And from what parts I watched, the room apparently was not a concern of theirs.

I think there are more than one video surrounding this install in a new house/room. In the one I watched, they mentioned that room treatment was part of the plan. I think that the paint bubbles, and swirl marks, as well as manufacturers response, provoked the video, which was done prior to completing the whole system.

I think you are right about there being multiple videos over quite some time. But all that money in speakers and gear and nothing spent on what is clearly a horrible room. I think the video says he switched speakers and it took months of waiting so certainly could have put done something in that time with simple room treatments.
