The M3 and the M Project really dominated. (As did they on the other polls.) Why did you guys go with the M "series" rather than the Q or the S?

Several years ago, a friend and I went to hear the Wilson Alexia at a dealer. While the demo was not the best, we did love the Alexia at the time. It was not the speakers fault, it was environment and gear surrounding the Wilsons that let us down a little. But, we knew the Alexia in the right setup would be killer.

Next to the Alexia was a pair Magico Q3 (?) if I remember correctly. Dealer hooked 'em up and they were terrible. We even gave them time to settle in and open up. Sounded like a blanket was over them. Ever since then, only hearing the S series, we both loved the Magicos every time we heard them. I'd love to hear the new mk2 versions and M project series but they are definitely out of range for me.

Why Magico? SOTA sealed box design
Why M3? Sized properly for the dimensions of my room. Timing of release was right for me as I was looking to replace the Raidho speakers I had at the time.

This poll is flawed since it doesn't allow for the S5. Sorry, cannot participate in a biased and flawed poll. :)
I would have voted for the S5 mk2 Bud since you technically own them having put in your order. You just haven't yet taken delivery. And that btw would create a tie with the M3 ;).

I've heard the Q1, Q3, Q5, Q7 mkII, S3, some from A series and apart from the Q7, I'd choose the Q3 any day.
Whence I bought them :D

Some mention Q3 difficult to drive or having a vail, but for me that's a surprise to read. An amazingly transparent, clear as a blue sky, harmonious very low-to-high speaker ... easy and sensitive.

I find the same for M3 , how different is Q3 to M3 ..?

I haven't heard any of the M series yet.
At audio shows here in Netherlands they only present A or S series. I believe not even at the last Highend Munich show.
Probably due to costs involved.

But I'm equally curious 🤔

I own both. If I didn't own M3 I'd be totally satisfied with Q3. If I put both up for sale I would sell either (i.e. one or the other but not both), but I'd really need a good offer for M3. Like, really good offer.
Q3 obviously represents the best performance/price value, by a long way (meaning used Q3 vs new M3).

Q3 owners, get them sitting on SPODS.
