Hanging with the family on Holmes Beach in Bradenton, Florida.

The view doesn't suck....and the beach isn't bad either. :)

By the ocean @ the beach is a nice place to be.

- I'm in my hammock just few miles from the Pacific ocean. ...Between my deck and my apple tree, looking at the eagle hundred feet above my head.
It's a gorgeous day (sunny @ 24° Celsius - just perfect). ...Pic coming up in a moment, after charging and downloading and delivering.
Or, unless you prefer to see my girlfriend in it, and in the nude? I think it would be preferable to have another dedicated thread for that, so that we don't bifurcate from the tropic. ;)

* I need a real camera, phone's cameras suck! It didn't even take my girlfriend in the nude; a restricted application when showing too much skin.

The wife and I both retired young at the beach a little south of Marineland Fl in an area called the Hammock. We are just far enough away from the shoreline (445 yards) that we didn't have to deal with the high insurance rates. Quiet and peaceful.

I am at work, and it's not a pretty picture.

In an hour and a half, I will be working in the garden.

This is from last year, but looking pretty much the same now.

Impressive, Brian.

I miss doing a planter box or two at my folks home every year. Just no time anymore. :\

Thanks, E. I have another plot at the far side of yard opposite that plot with 100 head of garlic and 60 onions. Another 3 sq yard plot in far corner ready for potatoes going in this weekend. Today I need to layout all the soaker hose before the peas grow too much and attach to the fencing.

What you see is 3 types of Lettuce, 3 types of Swiss Chard, a patch of Mesclun, a row of Peas, 14 Tomato plants of various styles and going in in another week will be 5 types of Peppers.

Nice.

When I used to do the planters it was always about varied heirloom tomatoes, purple and standard basil, and some occasional squash or cucumber. Also did some great white corn a few times but never got the best results (it was always attacked by some pest).

We transplanted some dying varied strawberry plants a few years ago to another spot in their yard and are now proliferating madly. The weed that is the strawberry is truly amazing.

I am in beautiful downtown McDonald ("Ohio's Finest Village") playing the good son during my annual Mother's Day 2+ weeks visit. It won't stop raining. Thunderbusters three days in a row. One was not enough for yesterday so we had two a couple of hours apart. I miss the drought in Sacramento. I think I am getting mildewed.
