A friend of mine bought a G2 and is having some issues with it. It's mostly when he upsamples and uses Roon. He gets intermitten volume drops and it doesn't sound as good as an older lower level Auralic model, I think he said he is also getting some distortion. His G2 originally worked well clearly being better than his old model.

He sent it back under warranty they sent it bac sayingno issue. They toldhim, although the G2 is Roon ready, the didn't have the program in service so couldn't test it. Not only that his unit came bac with some type of white stuff all overit. Auralic said it could have been from their bag and suggested some products to try for cleaning. No apology or anything. How can you say there is no issue when you weren't able to test it with the program the issue is with and your product is supposed to work with.....

My friend has an older Auralic unit that prforms flawlessly but doesn't sound as good as the G2, however, the G2 being anewer more advanced unit can't seem to function as well.

My friend is communicating with the main guy to see if a resolution can be reached. It just seems so bizarre that Auralic support/service would be so bad. I was just wondering if anyone has had experience with them?
