whats your preferred/main......

CDs, good transport, good DAC. - and tubes in everything.
I guess I like the physical medium. Not that I can read the liner notes in CDs anymore.
I would need some 3.0s to do that. I'm a 1.5 guy on the computer.
Vinyl / TTs to me seem like a pretty expensive road to start going down.

Vinyl, Digital downloads and copies of CD's then Streaming. When I am feeling lazy it is digital and streaming.

Some one needs to invent a personal robot to flip records. Or bring back record stackers lol.

I was at a friend's house where we played a virgin pressing of Patricia Barber's Modern Cool LP on his Sicora turntable. This made me confident that digital still has a way to go. His DAC is mid 5 figures, IMO, it didn't come close. I'm very familiar with that album hearing that pressing on his TT was like hearing the album for the first time, it was that much better than ever before.

Despite the inconveniences, and criticism tossed at it analog is still king.

agreed, vinyl is the standard, followed by high end cd and streaming is far behind IMO

I looked at my TT the other day. Its still in boxes. Then quickly forgot about it. Way to hard to set up. And no good place to put it. I need to finish the room before opening that can of worms. I do look forward to it.

In my system, I mostly use my digital streamer/player with DAC. But, I also enjoy my vinyl very much but use it to a lesser extent. Why? Digital is sounding wonderful and is very convenient.
