Dunham Cellars 2007 Lewis Vineyard Syrah, Columbia Valley, been in my cellar for 8 years, absolutely stunning! My cab of the same vintage maybe a little beyond prime, but this is perfect right now.

That's a beauty Bob!

Only had a few Dunhams, but my modest cellar is filled with Washington wines, mostly from Red Mountain.

If you're still drinking tonight, God bless you. For Christmas dinner we had a glazed ham my wife ordered from Kentucky. There were only 5 of us (3 drinking) and the wines we had are now, only a distant memory, although the food coma lingers.

Billecart-Salmon Rose NV - This house is well known for their rose champagnes, but the NV bottlings in recent years have been more variable than the late 90s when they all were unfailingly terrific and the house was less well known.
2009 Gevrey-Chambertin Domaine Castagnier - This is an epic year for Burgundy and this wine was so intense, I should have waited another 5 years to try it.

A special lunch made by my wife with " saignant" beefsteak and 22 years old St Emilion, my prefered Bordeaux.
Happy New Year everyone!
