Two new LPs showed up on my door last night. They are both reissues by Speakers Corner. The Genius of Coleman Hawkins and The Soul of Ben Webster. It almost sounds like I'm trying to assemble Frankenstein.

I listened to side 1 of both LPs last night and I'm very happy with both. If you love jazz and both of these LPs don't make your socks roll up and down, then you don't have socks on.

George Cables- Cables' Vision. Saw him at the Village Vanguard a few weeks ago. Great performance. Decided to buy this 1980 release. Glad I did. Freddie Hubbard and Bobby Hutcherson also sparkle on this album.
