What Vinyl Do You Have On The Table?

The ever powerful and flawless young Starker interpretation in its Speakers Corner re-issue.

I can find no fault in this release, sonical or other. If the recent Analogue Productions release is better, it must be really good.

This is probably a recording where a good analog setup and the hyper detailed plasma tweeters maximize their full effect.

Whatever it is, the music sounds just wonderful.

Absolutely splendid. The detail. The sound of the studio. The emotion captured. What they’ve been able to get out of these tapes are incredible.

John Foxx ‎– In Mysterious Ways - original 1985 UK pressing on Virgin. John's last album in his Virgin contract before he got sick of being moulded as a pop star and retired, sold The Garden studio in London and went back to being a graphic designer. not seen for another 20 years - thank christ he came back as his music now is just a good.

Music on Vinyl seems to have a decent catalog, any take on quality of pressing from the label?

Regular pressings, nothing out of the ordinary in either direction.

Nice new album from Korean-born Youn Sun Nah. Great recording quality.

Had to check she is indeed Korean born, as you really cannot hear very much she does not sing in her native tongue.

This pressing is dead quiet and sonics are excellent. Music, well, that’s 10/10. His early stuff on side one of album one is a little rough due to early recordings. But after that...it’s smooth sailing.

Lou Donaldson ‎– Mr. Shing-A-Ling - from the Kevin Gray remastered 2019 Tone Poet Blue Note reissue - sounds pretty darn good.

I have all the Tone Poet re-issues, they sound superb. Next week I’ll get four more.

I know I, as a hard core jazz fan, am not supposed to like Wes' commercial period, but it just sounds SO GOOD! And this is still real jazz. I believe they added the Big Band later.
