What Vinyl Do You Have On The Table?

Just received an unopened copy of this 1981 gem and it sounds remarkably good (despite thin vinyl). Great album! Wonderful analogue recording shines!

I have never listened to an album that I could relate to more........

The latest re-issue? On the S5mk2s?

No and Yes. Classic Records 180g. Arguably one of the best pressings. Early Japanese pressings are good too. Sounds incredible.

Which pressing is your favorite?

I have a few US pressings but none of them is perfect. Bought the reissue out of curiosity and it's not my cup of tea. I have the Classics of #1 & #3... but not #2 (but I wish I did - I'm sure it would be my fave). You are lucky!

I have classic record pressings II and IV. Both are incredible sounding. Still looking for I. Agree on the reissue. Try to find a 180g Classic Records of II. It beats the later 200g version IMO.

Every time I listen to this guy I always think " ****, he's gone.... " Being the youngest of seven I really enjoyed listening to my brothers & sisters music when growing up. Willy was the first artist that wasn't mainstream for me that just blew my mind that I had never heard of him & instantly loved the guys story telling abilities as well as his tone timbre & just plain cooler than Elvis demeanour & showmanship. Man they've got some great talent over the river....
