What happened to BOB "Northstar?"

What has happened to Northstar(Bob). I noticed he wasn't posting on our Movie Thread and now I see it says "BANNED" under his name. I also see I cannot send him a private email. What happened?
 
I feel sorry for Bob, he's managed to get himself banned from almost every audio forum on the 'Net. I hope there's a way for him to apologize or do pennance (or something) to allow him to be reinstated here (or somewhere).
 
Having a home theater I enjoyed going back and forth with him over movies. He was always a free spirit but I never found him to be rude or in bad taste, but I do not know what he said to get banned (maybe he took steroids or bet on baseball?)

But also this is a great and friendly site that I found unusually welcoming and I understand that things have to be administered for it to continue this way. I was surprised to learn that he had been removed from other sites and that is sad because he had something to add. This is a great site and I understand that things have to done to keep it that way.
 
Guys - I'm a very patient, tolerant person and give ample warnings. Enough was enough.

Bob, you're reading this no doubt. We've butted heads over there about the rambling. Stay on the wagon & you'll be good. Best of Luck.
 
Mike, this really a fine site and I know you work to keep it that way. It's helped me a lot and it's ALWAYS fun to take a vacation here during the day. Pleasae keep up the good work and know that we support you. And since you gave warnings you gave him a chance to stay. I sorry this happened, but you certainly have my support.

Thank you. Those decisions are never easy - but Mark and Joe and I discussed it at length.

I'm sure Bob is a great person I would love to meet him in person.

But as your position you got a do what you got a do make this great forum as it is.
 
IMO, Bob was a distraction on the forum. He derailed just about every thread that he participated in and he never seemed to get the message when anyone attempted to reign him in. It is sad and unfortunate when someone who participates so much has to be banned, but I know he was warned numerous times and I understand the decision.
 
I understand how the management feels.

Is this a temporary or permanent ban?

I always liked Bob.
 
I like Bob also, but we talked to him many times about his rambling posts and some other rule violations.

He was warned by Mike and I ,multiple times, over and over. At some point we had to do something because he wouldn't abide by the rules.

It certainly brought no joy to me to ban him. It was a tough decision.
