What cables synergize with Magico?

I am using Synergistic Galileo LE. Lots of mikrodetails, black background and musicality! It is also possible to tune the sound with the use of the "bullets" from brighter with the silver to darker with the grey ones.
Yeah I think Magico used those cables at CES last year when they won best of show..

I have heard many different cables with the Magico S and Q series (thought not with the M Projects). The best cables i've found for synergy (not in any particular order) are firstly Siltech Royal Signature series which are very quiet, harmonically rich, a little warm, have nice tone and timbre and sound stage well. Bass is very good. Build quality is excellent. These are a good choice if you want to augment the bass somewhat.

Secondly Jorma Prime and Statement cables. Jorma sounds natural/organic, smooth, mellifluous, resolving, well balanced top to bottom and harmonically rich. They are overall neutral, but have a touch of warmth. The Prime xlr's use Bybee Slipstream Golden Quantum purifiers inside the walnut barrel. They nail the midrange. The Statement sc's are very resolving, quiet, pure and have excellent sound staging. Essentially taking Prime to a higher level. Jorma told me just a single run of Statement sounds better than the Prime Biwires!

Finally Tara Labs Omega Evolution & Zero Evolution cables. Mighty big, mighty expensive. I recently heard a full loom of these cables with a pair of Magico S3's & Vitus SIA-025 and was impressed by the low noise floor, spacious sound stage, neutrality, smoothness, resolution and bass. Those qualities blew me away (as you would expect). They aren't as warm or harmonically rich as the Siltech Royal Sig's or Jorma Prime though, and the top model Siltech Royal Sigs bass is a bit tighter/deeper.

If I had to summarize the sound of these cables, i'd say Siltech = musical, Jorma = natural and Tara Labs = sophisticated. Any of the above cables would be an excellent choice with your M Projects imho

To my knowledge, no one is buying brand new Wilson or Magico speakers without going through a dealer. At this price point, you are paying for the product and service after the sale.

Mark, this is a little different situation as there are only 50 pairs of M-series speaker being made. Dealers bought say one or two pairs and then if you were late tot the show, one had to scramble to find a dealer that might have an unsold pair.

So they are still coming from a dealer, but one that may not be local?

Thanks for this, Bhodi. Did you find the Siltech's at a local dealer? Can't say I've ever heard of these before.

Hi Floyd, YW :) Yes my local Dealer carries Siltech cables so i've been fortunate to audition these cables, together with the other brands mentioned on several occasions.

Siltech cables are made in the Netherlands, use very pure metallurgy, have very high build quality & are some of the quietest cables around. They use the same COMSOL computer software that Porsche use to design their cars. That said, achieving the best overall sound and synergy in your system and within your budget is the real trick :audiophile:.

They Royal series is great. Depending on your budget and which royal level, they will cost more than your speakers for IC's and SC.

I am a big believer in cables, and too each their own. However, that is insane. I would love to be able to A/B them to my Shunyata system. While I suspect there will be a difference in sound, I can't imagine there being a $100,000 better sound. Maybe there is, and in this case, ignorance is bliss. :)

That's the conclusion I reached Bud. For a number of reasons including price, I am more comfortable with Jorma. I just run some Siltech Classic Anniversary cables with my Oppo for movies.
