What are you listening to tonight ?

Ronnie Earl, Curtis Stigers, Herbie Hancock, Steve Winwood, Van Morrison, Shelby Lynn, Norah Jones, Eva Cassidy. All digital tonight, too tired to get up and flip the vinyl.

Every now & then an artist comes along & i get really excited thinking about where their career will go & the material that they will come out with. Adele, Christina Aguilera, Pink. I think of when they will mature & start to belt out some soul searching blues etc.....
This one died way too young, way too soon & what a talent

I agree with you on Amy, Kev. Where the other girls you listed may have decent voices, Amy had that something extra that gave her music that real life, gritty, soulful aspect. She wasn't just singing her tears away in front of a mirror. I'm sure much of it had to do with the Dap-Kings that she recorded with too. They are just amazing and so tight as a band.

Amy could have been the next female singer that put out great recording after great recording. Think of all the oldie but goodies; Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Koko Taylor, hell I'll even throw Barbra Streisand in there, etc...etc... I think Amy could have been a singer of that caliber. It's a shame we'll never know what might have been.

Till The Sun Turns Black Ray Lamontagne [CD] - - - View attachment 2582

Glad you like it Andre because I like it too very much so myself; my favorite one of his four albums (CDs).
And I bet that from your system it sounds even better than on mine. ...Your Stats were perfectly created/matched for this type of beautiful music .... This one from your rig must 'wave' high and pleasurable emotions of deep comfort; numbness of the soul.

Petula Clark 2nd CD from the Ultimate collection. Mostly stuff from musicals and specials. It's interesting to hear her do the numbers, but I prefer her albums.

Well for me being into smooth instrumental music 95% of the time last night it was - - - Cantoma Cantoma.jpg - - - a wonderful cd of very relaxing music at my age I DON'T NEED STRESS and for me this kind of music does the job.:)
