Sometimes i get tired of one composer.
Mike Oldfield was one of my idols in my youth.
And i almost forgot about him in the last 20 years. I tought he had no longer the ability to surprise me. This was until i got to know "Music of the spheres".

These 2 Gems I picked up last Friday, both from my Jr High School days. Forest Green played our Jr High Auditorium and I knew the Sax player from Spaces, Don Eaton.

Both sound fabulous! Both were local to Philly bands

Roy Ayers - Virgo Red

I've been checking out some Jazz playlists on Tidal looking for some new music. Tidal adds maybe 12 albums under the "new" category each week and all are Hip Hop or close to it. I did a search in playlists for "Rock" and probably less than 10% was Rock the rest Hip Hop. I emailed them and typically like to be loyal but with my CD library mostly ripped now to the ACS10 I mostly use streaming for filler and looking for new things to listen to, I may have to explore Qobuz. In addition, Tidal has made some music no longer available for some reason. I don't understand why you'd limit your library unless it costs to offer it perhaps.

Chick Corea - Chinese Butterfly (Tidal does have a MQA version ) I really enjoy this album, some of the songs are 16, 17 & 18 minutes long, this must have been a LP box set, LOL

Shiny Toy Guns - Season of Poison

Very nice, high quality vinyl from Foné: Shades of Chet/ Enrico Rava, Paolo Fresu, Stefano Bollani, Enzo Pietropaoli, Roberto Gatto.
