Quite nice and humorous country rock, well played, as I find. The Ladies show in “Got My Name Changed Back” how you can take private setbacks a bit tongue in cheek, “I broke his heart and took his money”. Similarly “Milkman”.

As I was approaching the last song on the Doobie Brothers, Stampede, I began to scroll through their albums and found Southbound I didn't know existed.

Southbound is an album of Doobies doing their songs with special guests, mostly from the Country side of things. However, the songs are good and high energy, features folks like Sawyer Brown, Brad Paisley, Huey Lewis plays harmonica on Long Train Running. Michael McDonald puts in a strong performance although I can't understand much of what he is singing, LOL

Very noteworthy, on You Belong To Me is a female vocalist, Amanda Sudano Martinez whose voice immediately got my attention. Turns out she is Donna Summers daughter and with her husband form the band Johnnyswim, which is also new to me but I plan to listen more when time permits.

Vince Gill also plays guitar on one of the tracks on this album, which escapes me now. Vince was a member of Pure Prairie League, has his own huge Country career, currently a member of the Eagles and during an interview of Alice Cooper he mentioned having Vince lay down some guitar on one of his albums, I'm sure this just scratches the surface of this giant of a performer..

I have owned this album since it was released in 2014 and agree there are some fun tracks. Just checked Roon and see that I played it about 3 times this year.
