Those who only remember her from her early "country" days are missing out on a wonderful story teller. If have the opportunity to see her a few times at The Ark in Ann Arbor which is a very intimate venue and she never disappoints.

Ok. I must be losing it. For years, I've had a 33.3rpm version of Illinois Jacquet's, "Swing's The Thing". I kept thinking I should get the Analogue Production's 45rpm re-release, as a friend of mine has it and it blows away my 33.3rpm version. So, I just put up an album and noticed another album had been pushed back a bit. I pulled it out and lo and behold, it was the Analogue Production's 45rpm Verve album release! Serial number 85! Playing it now and it sounds superb!

I bought this the other day BUT haven't been able to listen as yet. Just got my hip replacement done on Monday and my room is on the second floor and today is going to be my FIRST day back to listening (hopefully) and that is my #1 to go on my "back to listening listening list".
