What are you listening to tonight ?

Dexter Gordon, "Ballads", Redbook. I haven't listened to this in a while and had forgotten how beautiful the playing and music are.

Rodney Crowell - Close Ties

Now we are getting somewhere. This album was just released today and it available in MQA via Tidal. This is the MQA trend I am looking for.

Maybe the most thoroughbred blues album ever: Great music, superb interpretation, fantastic sound, tragic history with abuse and illness.

Little bit the Billie Holiday kind. She was half deaf when recording this album, because she did not have access to proper health care.

Remarkable, I think.

I just got this album from NativeDSD... A pop/rock album in DSD256... had to give it a try... first listen, so far actually pretty good...

Townes Van Zandt, "Live at The Old Quarter, Houston, Texas". 33.3rpm double album, Fat Possum Records. I understand that Townes is not that well known outside of Texas, but if you haven't heard his songs, you're missing out on one fine songwriter. He had a number of albums, but the one I like the best is this one. He's right in front of you, telling jokes and singing the definitive versions of some of his best songs.

The latest from Imelda May - Life Love Flesh Blood. Deluxe Edition

I hope the rest of this album is a good as the first couple of tracks.
