AS I may have to have my dac sit on my cd player I am looking for antiresonant devices to place above and below both of these devices. I came across this photo with several weighted discs seating on top of dacs, tube preamps and transports. Anyone have any idea who makes them or similar products that would work for my application. Thnx in advance.

I could be wrong, but I swear this looks like a rack from a Spanish company called Artesania. You can do a Google search (sorry, I have not reached the magic level to post links..:() Once you get to their site, click on Accessories and you will find the discs you see in the image (or so I hope!!)

This is one of several audio racks I am interested in and if the picture is indeed an Artesania rack, then by all accounts they are top notch!!

What scares me regarding audio racks will be making a final decision. Artesania is one, but so is HRS, Silent Running and Stillpoints ESS rack. There is even a company from Canada called Rix Rax who makes some truly custom stands that are more industrial looking but sure look nice....I guess that aesthetics (though usually not at all import to me) may come into play as I would need to choose between the metal/glass of the Artesania versus the wood/metal of the HRS/SRA/Rix Rax....

That's why Im building my own. Cant afford or find exactly what i want.I saw a rix rack and loved it too!
Pics don't do it justice they are big and beefy and nice as hell in person.
 
I use squash balls myself, cut in half. ...Under some of my components, the ones with a disc transport. ...Can also be used under a turntable, if it's not a hundred pounds one, or more.

You have various intensities (densities); soft, medium, hard. ...The hard ones for the heavy components. You just need a pair of those balls per component (about five bucks/pair or so from a sport centre store). ...The cut side goes under the component.

Maybe it ain't looking fancy audiophile stuff, but it works for your intended use. I like the hard black ones myself; they match perfectly with my black gear.
Or you can put them directly under the feet of your component, or at different spots so that it does not raise your component too high if the actual feet under it are already quite large, and that your shelf's height doesn't give you much room to maneuver.
 
Yes I like the squash balls too. I'm looking for something similar but smaller. To put between shelves and frame of a rack. I was going to use spikes because they will look nicer but now I'm thinking rubber would be way better. I'm going to put up a poll on that. See what people think.
