What are the differences between Studio and Home models?

All I can really see on the site is the color and that the Studio models are heavier.

What are the real differences and why choose one series over the other?
 
it would be interesting to find out .. I could be wrong but generally I believe 'studios' can also be ordered with out crossovers like pro audio to be run from sound panels & active crossovers & amps and are made to be heard & not seen / built into surfaces while 'homes' come complete with passive crossovers & beautiful cabs for full exposure in the home ..

I belive studio monitors, in general, are designed to be played in near field setups and with a very neutral presentation.

I believe the biggest differences are the finish and the connectors:

Studio/Pro
-Grey texture paint
-Speakon 2-pole connector

Home/domestic
-Cherry, eucalyptus, rosewood, tiger ebony, etc. wood finishes
-Two 4mm gold-plated binding posts for wires or plugs

I think the sound should be the same.

I was also trying to figure out why the Studios weigh more than the Homes. You would think if there was no crossover they would weigh less.
 
The Pro version for the studio have handles on the sides. That would be the weight difference.
