What am I working with?

Hello all!
I would like to give a big thanks ahead of time to anyone who can help me figure out what I have here. I just purchased a home about a month and a half ago and one feature that I really liked was that it had speakers in the ceiling for most of the rooms in the home. However I was only able to meet with the seller one time on the day we closed on this house. During that time I asked him to please show me how the system works. He said that he would be taking a lot of the hardware and that it would have to be re-setup by me. After all was said and done what I moved in to was a bunch of wires coming out of the walls at two locations and the house and the speakers remained in place in the ceiling as well as small volume control dials in each of the rooms with speakers. I was wondering a starting off point to getting this system functional again. The information that he gave me wasn't much. He said the speakers are 4 ohms so I am kind of lost to what that means for me. I have attached pictures of what I found. Also the two pictures of hardware (the Pyle speaker selector and the stack of boxes which is what I assume to be a receiver or amp of some sort) are what he had installed at one location and these were removed when he vacated the house. If anyone has info on this that will move me towards getting all this sorted out so me and my family can enjoy this system I would be really grateful! Thanks in advance!

Welcome to AS. It's a shame the guy didn't leave the system together for you.

The multi-room isn't my area. There are brands that specialize in those types of systems like Sonos or Niles. The amps have several channels to power each room.

Hopefully one of the guys can do better than me. If not, I'd find a dealer who does these systems.
