If one of my locals dealers pick up the line I will give it a listen in their system. The price is beyond what I am comfortable paying for audio gear so I won't be asking them to loan it on demo if they do decide to carry it.

Review in this months Absolute Sound. It sounds like the best of the best... but priced as such also.

it's sitting about 7 feet from me as i type......it sounds awesome. it's everything and more that Mr. Harley (and others) write. arrived in early January. below is a link to the thread i opened here. honestly; the subject matter was not well received on the Shark.

Mike, a sincere congratulations! Hopefully there will come a day when I'll get to hear one of these. The feed-forward error correction technology in this piece appears to be truly innovative. The wonderful thing about products like this is that they raise the competitive what's possible bar for the industry.

thank you. agree that Wadax has some tech that seems to take it to another level. besides the feed-forward error correction, the Wadax Akasa digital interface also breaks new ground. A/B'ing with and without this interface was a revelation. digital listeners are really now able to reach new listening levels.
there will be 2 rooms at Axpona with the Wadax Reference gear.

To each their own. I thought the unit was amazing when I had a chance to listen to a couple songs on it. Too bad we could not really check it out. I know I could never afford one, but that does not stop me from drooling over it

Listened to it at Capital Audiofest for quite awhile. I thought the sound quality was unremarkable. In my honest opinion, the Select DAC sounds significantly better. Mike B. was sitting right next to me and we looked at each other quizzically, and just said “nope”.
