vivid 1.5 owners?

greetings, there seems to be little activity by vivid owners on any forum site. I’m curios about other vivid 1.5 owners out there, what they think about their speakers, and if any have upgraded to something else? i have had my original 1.5s about 5 years and tend to keep my speakers for 10 years before trying anything new at home. anybody compare these to revels?

Hi Aaron, I have Vivid Oval 1.5ws as rears in a full 5.0 Vivid Audio system. Fantastic, with plenty of bass.
Fronts are G2 Giyas, center is Vivid's C1.

No plans (nor money) to upgrade.
If I had the funds and wa a liittle bit crazy, I'd buy G1 Spirits as fronts, and place my G2s as rears, and my V1ws as surround back.

Have had a pair of 1.5s for seven years, and have really enjoyed them. Just last month I got a pair of BMC PureVox (got the system change itch).

It's not so much an upgrade as a side-grade. New, both models are roughly priced the same. The BMC has more bass presence; woofer size is slightly larger (and it has two per speaker), and more cabinet volume. But detail retrieval is just as good on the Vivids. Three dimensionality is maybe a bit better on the BMC because of the bipolar arrangement.

I think I would have to spend quite a lot more to get really noticeable improvement over the Vivids. The new Kayas or the B1 decade would be fun to hear.
