Visit with Florian in Switzerland

The Atrium uses pure aluminium ribbons; front and back in both the midrang and trebble.
These drivers have to be heard, in order to be believed. They are even thinner then the original Apogee Fullrange and Scintilla ones. Of course the downside is that they are 0.15ohms; thats why we partnered with the best transformer maker we know, and use Lundahl from Sweden; to transform them to around 3.5ohms; combined with our efficiency (depending on model) from 94db to 101db per watt;, the result is so good in fact that i have decided to use them in all models; even the baby Piccolo.

Happy new year

Thanks for your explanation. Are the bass panels also aluminium ribbons?

.15 ohm implies a single trace foil like the original FR apogee , if not How many traces ? ….

Single trace is superior to multiple trace for sound , but not efficiency, the purity of sound from a single trace is unmatched IMO …

Correct, all of our speakers feature single trace, pure aluminium drivers now; but two units per speaker (on the two way in series). Efficiency is still between 94db and 101db depending on all models.
